Debadullav Das and Mahendra Kumar Barik asserted supremacy in the Odisha Secretariat Open Badminton Tournament, which took place here at Unit-1 Indoor Hall on November 28 and 29. Das won two titles, while Barik pocketed three.
Over 100 shuttlers participated in the two-day tournament, which was organized by Odisha State Secretariat Badminton Association. OSSBA working president Lalit Mohan Pattnaik and genera secretary Chittaranjan Rout gave away the prizes at the closing function. Deepak Besra received a trophy as new find of the tournament.
RESULTS (All finals): Men`s doubles: Debadullav Das-Mahendra Kumar Barik beat Ramakanta Das-Uma Sankar Mohapatra. Men’s singles: Debadullav Das beat Mahendra Kumar Barik. Veteran doubles: Lalit Mohan Pattnaik-Mahendra Kumar Barik beat Ramakant Das-Uma Shankar Mohapatra. Veteran singles: Mahendra Kumar Barik beat Uma Shankar Mohapatra.
